Clapcat!? Who the f* is Clapcat?
Try to remain calm.
I appreciate that this page has brought you much trepidation. Fear not, all your questions will be answered in time.
Clapcat, as you likely have gathered, shouldn't be taken too seriously. It is a moniker for me, an ex-professional DJ from years gone by. I'm not a producer, yet I mess about in my Mickey Mouse DAW trying to create the next summer anthem because I like dance music. It allows me to be nostalgic too and remember what I enjoyed in clubs and bars and what I played as a DJ. Pro-tip: don't waste your youth kids and get out there and explore music and life experiences.
What is laid before you doesn't make money. The tracks here aren't sold, they aren't even offered for direct download and they don't *funnel* or gate visitors to signup to download (thank you Hypeedit) or scratch around for a like on a social somewhere. All we have here is a collection of edits, bootlegs and mixes that I knocked up in my shed.
Credit is given to sample owners in the tracks. Some tracks use *hundreds* of samples so unless we want a list as long as the Nile, not everyone gets a nod. If you feel aggrieved then do send me a note at clapcat[at]protonmail.com.
Why have this website then? Why not use something like Soundcloud? I do (or at least did) use Soundcloud, but it costs £10 per month, this website costs £10 per year. All my tracks, edits and mixes are on Soundcloud as we speak, but they can't be accessed because I haven't paid for enough minutes. It's quite a bore.
