Before you ask, the vocal came from AI. I liked it, the lyrics and tone are good. Originally, it was part of a downtempo, lounge song, so I beefed it up, added a growly bass, elements and drops and you've got this.

I wanted something a little Jerome Sydenham - Sandcastles, or Swimming Places by Julien Jabre. I can't say I've got that at all, but you can possibly see the influences nonetheless.


Mosaic of Us

I've gone through a period recently where everything sounds like a deadmau5 track without me actually trying to even create anything like a deadmau5 track... This was supposed to be a more Nora En Pure type track, more downtempo. Instead it turned out a bit angry.

Guppy

The original 1999, released in January 1999, sampled Donna Summer's Hurt Just A Little, it also (apparently) sampled a porn film. This remake was done several years ago and I find it a little raw. The kick and percussion is a little heavy and it's a bit too long, but I do like the extended Donna Summer sample and a number of the jackin' elements.


1999

This track is a remix of a folk song by Caio Klin. I found the vocal and his version on a popular AI music site. I quite enjoyed what he'd made and he was inviting remixes. Most of the remixes I found were folksy versions; regurgitations of his original work. This, well, it's different and trying to edge it toward danceable. It's very commercial, but look, I remixed Phil Collins once, so I know no bounds to the level of commercialism I will plunge to.

Is it for a nightclub? Err, no. This is for the car after the nightclub perhaps. Or maybe the bath the next day. Either way, loved the big piano stomps and some of the synths later in the track.

Fake Love Story

The creation of this subtle remix was a complete accident. I wanted the main hook and breakdown from Jose Amnesia's Eternal; my absolute favourite trance track. I wanted that energy and melody in a house version. Originally, this was going to be a house track, with the Eternal melody being replayed, but I dropped a Volt - Sandcastles accapella in accidentally and boop; this became the result - sort of an EDM cross over. It runs at 130, but it isn't a house track really and is firmly still trance (albeit slow trance).
